Title:

Population and Community Dynamics of Alpine Plants in a Changing Climate Across Topographically Heterogeneous Landscapes

Meagan will begin a postdoctoral research position after graduation at CU Boulder with Dr. Nancy Emery where she will be working on a project investigating evolutionary feedbacks between habitat specialization and dispersal. In the future, Meagan hopes to someday manage a field research station.

Meagan is also the co-director of GLORIA Great Basin (https://www.gloriagreatbasin.org/about), an organization that supports fieldwork in California and Nevada as part of the Global Observation Research Initiative in Alpine Environments. This international collaboration assess distributional shifts of alpine species in response to climate change. Since 2004, a incredible number of agency partners, graduate students, botanists, and alpine enthusiasts have volunteered to help collect data for this collaborative project.
