Looy Awards from Botanical Society

Congratulations to members of Assistant Professor Cynthia Looy's lab, who presented 6 talks, 2 posters and won several awards at the recent Botanical Society of America meeting:
 
Robert Stevenson - Mosely Award
The award is given to the best student paper, presented in either the Paleobotanical or Developmental and Structural sessions, that advances our understanding of plant structure in an evolutionary context.
 
Dori Contreras - Cookson Paleobotanical Award
Award for the student who delivers the best contributed paper in paleobotany or palynology at the annual meeting.
 
Stephanie Ranks - Cheadle Student Travel Award
The student who explains what Vernon Cheadle's most important contributions were to botany, and also describes how his or her own research is significant.
 
Meriel Melendrez - Triarch botanical images student travel award 2nd place.
 
Jeff Benca - Triarch botanical images student travel award 3rd place.
